Hey y'all! A lot of my flist likes to cook. I'm looking for some a whole bunch of recipes that fit rather specific criteria.

1. Gluten free
2. Vegetarian
3. Have protein
4. No tree nuts (including coconut, peanuts ok, but please don't go heavy on the peanut oil) or cinnamon
5. TASTE GOOD

Feel free to pimp this request around if you think it will help. It'll be unlocked for a good long while.

7:39 am - I Need Your Help
Long time no post, but I've finally gone back to a basic account from paid, so I'm making the very occasional allowance for a post or two over here on LJ. I'm still permanently over on InsaneJournal under the name mysoultokeep.

Anyway, this Sunday I'm walking in the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's Light The Night Walk. I'm doing it with my company, but I'm team captain, and I have more than a little personal regard for this particular cause. To sum things up, I'm looking for help to raise money for research and support services for families with blood cancer. Our goal is $5500 and we've only gotten up to $1700 so far.

You can donate HERE.

If you yourself can't donate, I'd appreciate if you could point this out to someone who might be able to, we need all the help we can get. The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) funds lifesaving cancer research that has contributed to major advances in the treatment of blood cancers and many other types of cancer treatments, such as chemotherapy and stem cell transplants, that have helped patients live better, longer lives. New targeted therapies that kill cancer cells without harming normal tissue are providing drugs and procedures that are improving the quality of life.

That is what I walk for. Hope.

7:25 am - Happy Birthday
Happy Birthday [info]anjenue. I miss you so much.

I can't delete your number from my cellphone because it makes me cry to think of it, even though rationally I know the number has probably been disconnected. Letting go is never easy, and harder when you don't want to.

Wherever you are (hopefully you've already made your way back for your next life of adventures) I love you.

6:03 pm - It just became personal.
So. One of my uncles is fighting cancer. My participation in Light The Night is now dedicated to him. I not only now want to raise money for this cause, it's a need. It's something I can do while sitting here helplessly. Please. Please help.

You can donate here: http://www.active.com/donate/ltnBaltim/2166_adionneLTN

I've reached 46% of my goal. I want to get to 100% and beyond. Please.

1:22 am - An important message:
Hi all!

On September 30, I’ll be walking in The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Light The Night Walk
to raise funds to help fight cancer. The Society is the world’s largest voluntary health
organization dedicated to funding blood cancer research and providing education and patient services.

I’d like to enlist your support for this important cause. It’s important because there are more than 785,000 people in the United States and Canada who are fighting blood cancers. Although research is responsible for increasing survival rates for these diseases, the battle is far from over.

  • Every five minutes, someone in this country is diagnosed with blood cancer. Every
    10 minutes, someone dies.
  • Leukemia is the leading cause of cancer death among children and young adults under the age of 20.
  • Lymphomas are the most common blood cancers and incidence increases with age.
  • The myeloma survival rate is only 33 percent. Incidence is nearly double for African- Americans as for all other races.

Please sponsor me. By doing so, we’ll both be helping save lives. You can donate to the cause at my fund raising website here.

Thank you very much for your support.
